Vanamájhe giye patha háriye
Se sandhyáy ámi keṋdechi Tumi jáno Balechi tomáre dishá dáo more Bhálabási tumi tá ki máno |
Having lost my way going through the forest,
That evening I have cried; And You perceive. I've asked You to give me guidance; I hold dear... that do You heed? |
Habiendo perdido el rumbo atravesando el bosque,
Esa tarde he llorado; Y Tú lo percibes. Te he pedido que me guíes; Lo aprecio mucho... ¿a eso le prestas atención? |
Cáṋde d́hekechilo tarur shákháte
Patre puśpe kálo meghete Je diipt́i chilo niviyá[nb 2] giyechilo Áṋdhare tomáre d́áki shono |
The moon had been concealed by tree-branches,
Like black clouds with brown and green foliage. Out had gone the lantern-flame suffocating; In the dark I call to You... and You hear! |
La luna se había ocultado por las ramas de los árboles,
Como nubes negras con follaje marrón y verde. La llama del farol se había apagado, sofocante; En la oscuridad te llamo... ¡y me escuchas! |
Tumi ele shákhá patra sarále
Kálo meghe dúr ákáshe bhásále Nikat́e ásiyá hátt́i dharile Rákhile ná dvidhá kono |
You came and cast aside both leaves and branches;
The black clouds You set adrift on remote firmament. Coming close, my hand You held; Without hesitation, You protected me. |
Viniste y desechaste hojas y ramas;
Las nubes negras las dejaste a la deriva en el firmamento remoto. Acercándote, tomaste mi mano; Sin dudarlo, Tú me protegiste. |
