Tái to tomáre besechi bhálo Jyoti vikirań kare sabe álokita kare Antare báhire násho kálo |
Within the firefly You are light of the moon;
That is why I have been cherishing You. Disseminating luster, making everybody bright, You remove the darkness, inside and outside. |
Dentro de la luciérnaga Tú eres luz de la luna;
Por eso te he estado apreciando. Diseminando lustre, haciendo brillar a todos, Tú eliminas la oscuridad, dentro y fuera. |

Utter gloom had surrounded the realm uncreated;
From the gloom was getting spewed gloom into darkness. Upon that very gloom You applied ointment of light– Even now You keep pouring out sweetness of life. |
La oscuridad absoluta había rodeado el reino increado;
De la penumbra brotaba la oscuridad. Sobre esa misma penumbra Tú aplicaste ungüento de luz-. Incluso ahora Tú sigues derramando dulzura de vida. |

Janma mrtyu divá sharbarii ke thákibe Tumi shudhu chile prabhu kálátiita sei bhave Thákibe d́háliyá jábe áro álo |
In that inauspicious realm when there was not a thing,
Birth or death, day or night, which of them would be? Lord, You alone dwelt in that realm beyond bounds of time– You will remain; You will go on pouring out more light. |
En ese reino no auspicioso, cuando no había nada,
Nacimiento o muerte, día o noche, ¿cuál de ellos sería? Señor, sólo Tú morabas en ese reino más allá de los límites del tiempo- Tú permanecerás; Tú seguirás derramando más luz. |
