Phulera málát́i
Tomári lágiyá gáṋthá Tumi parile ná Ámáre dile kena vyathá |
This garland of flowers
Was strung for You alone. You did not put it on; Why have You pained me so? |
Esta guirnalda de flores
Fue hecha sólo para Ti. Tú no te la pusiste; ¿Por qué me has hecho sufrir tanto? |
Púrvákásh chilo aruń rauṋete d́háká
Vátás takhan chilo bhálabásáte mákhá Rauṋ ár bhálabásá ek sáthe misháiyá Gáṋthá chilo hiyára mamatá |
The eastern sky was wrapped in crimson,
And the wind was smeared with love. Entwining color and devotion, Woven was my heart's affection. |
El cielo oriental estaba envuelto en carmesí,
y el viento estaba impregnado de amor. Entrelazando color y devoción, Tejido estaba el afecto de mi corazón. |
Dekho sei málá mor ashrute bhije geche
Phuler pápŕiguli dhiire dhiire jhare geche Tumi ásile ná dekhá karile ná Bujhile ná mor vyákulatá |
Behold, my garland got drenched in tears;
The flower petals, they steadily dropped. You did not arrive; appear You did not— Did You forget my yearning? |
Mira, mi guirnalda se empapó en lágrimas;
Los pétalos de la flor, cayeron sin cesar. Tú no llegaste, no apareciste... ¿Acaso olvidaste mi anhelo? |
